The Cycles of Life…
Have you ever noticed how nothing is ever really consistent?
You constantly experience cycles with everything.
One minute your inspired, focused and feeling motivated about something, the next minute it requires some super effort to just take the first step.
Peaks and troughs, highs and lows. Is that something actually physically changing or is it our mental outlook that changes?
Might be a bit of both, might not be either.
The one thing you can be sure of is that change is always occurring , whether it’s good or not so good.
Embrace it, understand it and accept it. To do otherwise is futile.
The Musician’s New Career Perspective
The business model major label’s use to use for the last two decades is no longer proving to be effective.
Instead of going after the mass market, focus on really developing and building your niche.
That’s what Bob Baker suggests and it makes a lot of sense.

Music is…
Music is the exchanging of sheer emotion.
It can help you soar to the highest of highs or release the pain from the lowest of lows.
It’s always there for you. It relates to you. It connects with you.
It’s love is fully unconditional and will never leave you.
I’d be dead without music.

Microsoft vs Apple Advertisements
The following two blog posts outline the really interesting battle taking place between Microsoft and Apple currently.
The Larger Truth Behind Apple’s New Commercial
Microsoft’s Ad Vs. Apple’s Three Move Set
Apple attack PC for not being ‘cool’. Microsoft respond by trying to say they are ‘cool’ in a similar manner to Apple’s original ad. Apple slam Microsoft for spending money on advertising rather than fixing their poor performing product ie. Vista!
What a clever marketing strategy from Apple.

Gmail now has Voice and Video Chat!
This is a very cool additional feature in my book.
Is Google looking to take on Skype perhaps?
Dunno but now it makes Gmail an even more impressive communication tool.

Insightful thought for 12 Nov
“You’re either growing or dying.”
With everything that you do, no matter whether it is your band, a business, relationship, job, etc, if you’re not constantly learning new ways to improve or grow then you’re dying away.
It’s an illusion to think otherwise.
Learning does not end when you leave school, especially if you have aspirations of achieving better things in life.
The Dualities of Life…
You can’t have:
- pleasure without pain
- happiness without sadness
- life without death
- success without failure
- victory without defeat
- joy without sorrow
- relief without tension
- pleasure without pain
- excitement without boredom
- good without bad
- strength without weakness
- love without hate
- movement without stillness
- hope without despair
- etc
And it always seem that when you have too much of one thing, its opposite appears to balance things out.
I really wish at times it didn’t have to be this way but I have to accept that I didn’t write the rules on how life and the universe operates!
Zeitgeist movie: A thought provoking insight to the world
Do not watch Zeitgeist if you are not prepared to have your world views challenged.
Do not watch Zeitgeist if you wish to believe everything you see and read in mainstream media.
And most of all, do not watch Zeitgeist if you are happy allowing yourself to be controlled by others and wish to remain oblivious to this fact.
Zeitgeist is a documentary movie that works hard to pull back the curtains on how society is manipulated and controlled by a small certain few so that their own agenda can be pushed forward.
There are three chapters to this movie. The first chapter debates the concept of christian religion and its origins, the second looks at the controversy of 911 and the final chapter explains about the federal and world banks and their control over countries and their economies.

Musician’s Guide To The New Look Facebook
I came across a very handy guide for musicians about the new look facebook from Ariel Hyatt at Cyber PR the other day.
Facebook initially didn’t have artist pages when it first started but now they do and you can add apps to them also.
Ariel’s blog post highlights how to quickly set up your own Facebook artist page as well as some of the more useful apps you can add to it.
