ITIL Foundation certification

Posted by Chris on July 18, 2010 at 11:56 am

Just this week I sat and passed the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management exam. What the hell does that mean?
ITIL is short for ‘Information Technology Infrastructure Library’ which is a set of best practice guidelines for an IT department to deliver better service to their organisation.
Some IT departments are known for not being [...]

As part of their launch promotion ‘Join the Chinwag‘, they will [...]

Posted by Chris on April 6, 2009 at 5:35 pm

For a country’s web usage to drop by 40% is certainly saying something, and that is what has exactly happened in Sweden by introducing their copyright law.

Def Leppard and Lionel Richie record same song ‘Long Long Way To Go’

Posted by Chris on March 28, 2009 at 1:02 pm

Def Leppard has always been a favourite band of mine since I first heard Hysteria and Pyromania back in the day.
In 2002, they released their 8th studio album called ‘X’. There is a ballad on there called ‘Long Long Way To Go‘ which I always thought was a great sentimental pop song which deserved to [...]

Finally understanding songs from the past

Posted by Chris on March 25, 2009 at 4:06 pm

Have you ever listened to a song you loved from yester-year just to have its meaning click now and you can fully relate to it?

James Hetfield interview on christian science

Posted by Chris on March 16, 2009 at 9:15 pm

When I was in Wellington recently, I came across this building with the following across the front, ‘Christian Science Church’.
I thought about how that could possibly be since in my mind, Christianity and science contradict one another!
I’m glad I got shown the following video interview. In it, James Hetfield from Metallica explains how his family [...]

I haven’t blogged much lately, largely due to the holiday season and secondly because I’ve been immersing myself in some rock star biography books!
I’ve recently read Tommyland by Tommy Lee, Slash’s bio and now I’m working my way through The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx.
Very interesting reading for any budding rock star! I might do [...]

The Loudness War is harming music!

Posted by Chris on January 6, 2009 at 10:51 am

Have you noticed how your cd’s have been progressively been getting louder over the years?
This is thanks to The Loudness War where some people believe that louder is better.
Unfortunately, you can only push the perceived boundaries of loudness so far before the audio quality suffers as was the very noticeable case of Metallica’s recent album [...]

The 2012 Enigma by David Wilcock

I love checking out thought expanding/conspiracy theory stuff when I can. Recently someone suggested I check out this video called the 2012 Enigma. You’ll either fully dig it or think it’s a bunch of crap but its worth checking out anyway!

2012: Tragedy, transcension or just another year? David Wilcock exposes many great secrets: DNA, [...]
